Maxima Squamosa and Derasa Clams

The Maxima Clam, Tridacna maxima, is one of the most beautiful of the Tridacna clams. Maxima Clams usually show a variety of rich colors and patterns.

Derasa Clams require moderate to intense lighting to thrive as they contain the symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae, and receive the majority of their nutrition from the light through photosynthesis.
