These starfish can grow up to 12 inches and require a minimum tank size of 40 gallons. They are peaceful and coexist well with other marine life, making them an excellent choice for reef aquariums. However, they should not be housed with aggressive fish that prey on invertebrates due to their slow movement and lack of defense mechanisms.

The Blue Linkia Starfish thrives in aquariums with abundant live rock and sand, where they can hide from bright lights during the day and forage for food. They are best suited for well-established tanks and should never be exposed to air. Acclimation should be done slowly over at least two hours using a drip method. Feeding them can be challenging as they primarily find their own food, but small meaty foods can be placed beneath them as an attempt to supplement their diet.
