Magnificent Foxface - Siganus magnifica

The Magnificent Foxface is a vibrant and beneficial rabbitfish species. It features a white body with a prominent black stripe across its eyes and a tan hue on its back. Its fins are a striking yellow.

Reaching up to 9 inches in length, the Magnificent Foxface requires a minimum tank size of 125 gallons. These peaceful fish coexist well with other marine life, including corals and invertebrates, but may show aggression towards other rabbitfish in smaller tanks. They might occasionally nip at fleshy corals, so caution is advised when adding them to a reef tank.

For optimal health, the Magnificent Foxface thrives in established aquariums with ample live rock and algae for grazing. They are effective at controlling various types of nuisance algae.

As herbivores, Magnificent Foxfaces need a diet rich in greens. Foods such as nori, algae sheets, and high-quality flakes or pellets will support their growth and well-being.
