The Golden Rabbit Fish is a captivating fish, entirely yellow except for its dark eyes. This species grows up to 12 inches and requires a minimum tank size of 90 gallons. Generally, Golden Rabbit Fish are reef-friendly and coexist peacefully with other marine life, although they may occasionally nip at LPS and soft corals.
These fish possess venomous spines that can deliver a painful sting. They can be housed with more aggressive species due to their self-defense capabilities. However, they may show aggression towards other rabbit fish unless kept in mated pairs. A tank with plenty of established live rock is ideal, providing ample algae for grazing between meals.
As excellent algae eaters, Golden Rabbit Fish thrive on a herbivorous diet rich in greens. Foods like nori, algae sheets, spirulina, and high-quality flakes and pellets are essential for their well-being. For any inquiries about the Golden Rabbit Fish, feel free to reach out to us.
