The Orange Skunk Clownfish is a stunning orange and white clownfish from the Western Pacific Ocean. It is a very popular clownfish for a reef tank, since it stays rather small and is a peaceful fish.
Orange Skunk Clownfish can grow up to 5 inches and need an aquarium of at least 29 gallons to really thrive. They have a mostly orange body with no stripes or markings, except for a long white line along the top of their body. The Orange Skunk Clownfish does the best when it can host in an anemone and when it is paired with another clownfish. Without a dominate female in the tank, a male will turn female.
The Orange Skunk Clownfish is considered reef safe, since it will not bother coral, fish or inverts. Some larger fish might take to chasing and attacking Orange Skunk Clownfish, but with an anemone in the tank, it allows the Orange Skunk Clownfish to take shelter and keep out of harm’s way.
The Orange Skunk Clownfish needs a diet rich in meaty and herbivore foods. Food such at mysis shrimp, frozen marine foods, pellet and flake foods will really give your Orange Skunk Clownfish all the nutrition it would need to grown and thrive.
