Black Saddle Back Clownfish are semi-aggressive fish and will be territorial and aggressive towards other clowns and damsels in smaller tanks. Black Saddle Back Clownfish don't bother other fish, inverts or coral, making them a great choice for reef tanks.
Black Saddle Back Clownfish often seek refuge in hosting anemones since they cannot defend themselves well from larger predators. Black Saddle Back Clownfish have an immunity to the sting of the anemone, while larger predators will be stung and tend to leave clownfish alone while in an anemone.

Black Saddle Back Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet rich both in meaty and green foods.
