Bluelined Dottyback - Pseudochromis cyanotaenia
The Bluelined Dottyback is a unique and less frequently seen species in home aquariums. This vibrant fish is native to the Western Pacific Ocean, often inhabiting areas with strong water movement. Reaching up to 3 inches in length, the Bluelined Dottyback can comfortably live in a 29-gallon tank. It thrives in environments with ample swimming space and a higher water flow. The fish is characterized by its striking yellow body, complemented by blue fins and vertical blue stripes.
Known for being reef-safe, the Bluelined Dottyback generally coexists peacefully with corals and other fish, though it may occasionally disturb smaller invertebrates like shrimp. Its diet should be rich in meaty foods, including frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and fresh seafood. Once acclimated, it may also accept flake food.
