The **Watanabei Angelfish** is a unique species of full-sized angelfish known for being reef-friendly. Despite its smaller size, it is a great addition to medium-sized reef aquariums.
Male and female **Watanabei Angels** have distinct appearances, with males being more desirable. Both genders feature a silvery white body with dark fins, but males have dark horizontal stripes on the lower body. Reaching up to 6 inches, the **Watanabei Angel** is suitable for tanks starting at 125 gallons.
These angelfish are generally peaceful and can coexist with other non-aggressive angelfish. While the **Watanabei Angelfish** is mostly reef-safe, there is a slight chance it might nip at corals, so caution is advised when adding it to a reef tank.
**Watanabei Angels** thrive in tanks with plenty of established rock for hiding and grazing on algae. They should be gradually acclimated to the bright lights of a reef tank. Their diet should include algae, Spirulina, and mysis shrimp for optimal health.
