The **Venustus Angelfish** is among the most elusive dwarf angels available. Typically residing in the Western Pacific's deep waters and caves, this angelfish boasts a striking bluish-purple body accented by a prominent yellow vertical stripe.
Reaching a maximum size of 5 inches, the **Venustus Angelfish** is suitable for smaller aquariums of about 125 gallons. It thrives with plenty of established rock in the tank, providing hiding spots and algae for grazing. Due to its natural habitat in deeper waters, it may take time to adapt to a brightly lit aquarium.
While the **Venustus Angelfish** generally coexists peacefully with other dwarf angels, mature individuals may exhibit territorial aggression. It's not advisable to introduce a **Venustus Angelfish** to a reef aquarium, as they may nip at corals and invertebrates like clams. However, some have successfully kept them in reef tanks, depending on the fish's personality.
To thrive, the **Venustus Angelfish** requires a diet rich in sponges, algae, mysis shrimp, and Spirulina. With proper nutrition and tank conditions, this angelfish can become a stunning addition to your aquarium.
