The **Scribbled Angelfish** is a sought-after and somewhat uncommon species. Juvenile **Scribbled Angelfish** have a black body with a prominent yellow stripe behind the eyes, blue fins, and a yellow tail. As they grow, their body color shifts to blue with horizontal stripes appearing. Reaching up to 10 inches, **Scribbled Angelfish** require a minimum 150-gallon aquarium to thrive. They are active swimmers and prefer longer tanks. Avoid housing them with similar species in smaller tanks, as they may become aggressive once settled. While not ideal for reef tanks due to their tendency to nip at corals and invertebrates, some have successfully kept **Scribbled Angelfish** in such environments, depending on the fish's personality. These angelfish benefit from tanks with plenty of established rock, offering shelter and algae for grazing. As omnivores, they need a diet rich in mysis and brine shrimp, spirulina, and high-quality flake and pellet foods to maintain health.
