The Passer Angelfish, also known as the King Angelfish, is a visually striking and large marine fish. It features a vibrant orange hue with distinct blue patterns and a prominent white stripe across its body. Juvenile Passer Angelfish display more noticeable stripes compared to spots. These angelfish can grow up to 10 inches and require a minimum tank size of 120 gallons. They can exhibit aggression towards other angelfish species, so it's advisable to house them in large aquariums. While not ideal for reef tanks due to their tendency to nip at corals and invertebrates, some have successfully kept them in such environments, depending on the individual fish's temperament. Passer Angelfish thrive with plenty of established rock for hiding and grazing on algae. As omnivores, they need a balanced diet of meaty and plant-based foods, including spirulina, mysis and brine shrimp, marine algae, and high-quality flake and pellet foods.
