The Lemonpeel Hybrid Angelfish is an exceptionally rare and beautiful fish, resulting from a cross between the Halfback and Lemonpeel Angelfish. This hybrid doesn't have a fixed appearance, as its colors can vary widely, drawing from both parent species.
As adults, Lemonpeel Hybrid Angelfish grow to about 4 inches and require a minimum aquarium size of 55 gallons. Typically, they exhibit a yellow body with darker tails and may feature blue markings, though this isn't guaranteed.
These angelfish can be aggressive towards other dwarf angels and are best kept alone in smaller tanks. They are not considered fully reef-safe, as they may nip at corals and invertebrates like clams. However, some aquarists have successfully kept them in reef environments, though it largely depends on individual fish behavior.
Providing ample live rock will offer hiding spots and algae for grazing between meals. As omnivores, Lemonpeel Hybrid Angelfish require a diet rich in both meaty and plant-based foods. Recommended foods include spirulina, marine algae, mysis and brine shrimp, along with high-quality pellets and flakes to ensure their health and vitality.
