The Black Nox Angelfish is a captivating addition to any home aquarium, known for its striking, deep black hue. Unlike many other black fish that feature additional colors, the Black Nox Angelfish is predominantly black, making it truly unique.
Reaching a maximum size of 4 inches, the Black Nox Angelfish is suitable for smaller aquariums, ideally around 75 gallons. While they can be somewhat territorial, keeping just one in a smaller tank is advisable. With ample space, multiple Black Nox Angelfish can coexist peacefully.
It's generally not recommended to house a Black Nox Angelfish in a full reef setup, as they may nibble on zoas, clams, and polyps. Be prepared to risk some coral if you choose to introduce a Black Nox Angelfish to your aquarium.
There are no known gender differences in this species. As omnivores, they thrive on a diet of mysis shrimp, Spirulina, and algae. Having established rock for grazing is also beneficial for the Black Nox Angelfish.
