The Pom Pom Xenia,AKA Pulsing Xenia,Xenia sp., features frilly polyps that closely resemble a cheerleader's "pom poms". These polyps can come in reds, whites, and pinks, as well as other colors.
The Pom Pom Xenia is also known as the Pumping Xenia, Pulse Coral, and Waving Hand Coral due to its ability to pump or pulse in an effort to expel unwanted material from the coral. This pulsing can be quite fascinating to observe. Species of Xenia can reproduce quickly so be aware during placement.

They are photosynthetic feeders but will benefit from supplemental feedings of prepared aquarium foods. Overall, the Pom Pom Xenia is a great coral for beginner or expert aquarists and provides color and activity to any home aquarium.
