Known for their aggressive nature, Assasi Triggers should not be housed with smaller, more peaceful fish and are not suitable for reef aquariums due to their tendency to consume invertebrates and rearrange rock structures.

In larger, fish-only tanks with other semi-aggressive or aggressive species, the Assasi Trigger can serve as a captivating centerpiece. They can be successfully kept in male/female pairs if introduced simultaneously. As carnivores, their diet should consist of meaty foods such as frozen predator meals, small seafood pieces with tough shells, mysis and brine shrimp, along with high-quality flake and pellet foods to ensure their health and vitality.
