Orange Sponge - Clathria sp.
The Orange Sponge, Clathria sp., will filter feed but should be supplemented with phytoplankton or zooplankton. They can also benefit from good sand sifters in the tank.
Sponges can release dangerous toxins if stressed out that can affect other members of your tank. It is important to handle with care and be cautious when having a sponge enter the tank and not exposed to open air.
The Orange Sponge may take many shapes and is a bright orange color.

These Sponges need to be handled with great care. Do not expose this animal to air as it will parish. Take your time with acclimation. This animal is best kept in a refugium or sump with a light. It can be kept in ones main display as well.
