The Spider Conch is a truly unique and very interesting conch. The Spider Conch has a very unique shell that resembles the legs of a spider and will grow with the conch.
Spider Conches reach a maximum adult size of around 10 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Spider Conches are mostly peaceful conches and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. The Spider Conch should not be kept with very aggressive fish or larger crabs that might try to eat it.
Spider Conches do best in aquariums with lots of left over foods and a steady supply of detritus for them to feed on. A sandy soft substrate is also required for them to stay healthy.
Spider Conches are a great addition to your clean up crew and will spend their days eating any leftovers, detritus or algae they can find in the tank. Their diet can be supplemented with nori, marine algae sheets and flake foods.
