The Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp is a striking and beneficial addition to any aquarium's cleanup crew. With its vibrant red body, a prominent white stripe, and long white antennae, this shrimp is both beautiful and functional.

Reaching up to 2 inches in size, the Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp thrives in tanks of 20 gallons or more. Known for their peaceful nature, they coexist harmoniously with fish, corals, and other invertebrates in reef tanks.

In their natural habitat, Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp establish cleaning stations where fish come to have parasites and dead skin removed. While they help fish manage marine ich by removing parasites, they do not eliminate the disease from the tank.

These shrimp prefer aquariums with plenty of live rock for hiding. As scavengers, they consume leftover meaty foods, and supplemental feedings of mysis and brine shrimp can enhance their well-being.
