The Flaming Prawn Goby is a stunning and truly unique goby. Flaming Prawn Gobies have a mostly white body with strong orange markings and dark spots on their face. Flaming Prawn Gobies also have a large protruding dorsal fin that really characterizes them.

Flaming Prawn Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 2 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons. Flaming Prawn Gobies are strong jumpers and need to be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Flaming Prawn Gobies are very peaceful fish and shouldn't bother any other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Flaming Prawn Goby a great fish for reef tanks.

Flaming Prawn Gobies should only be kept in mated pairs in smaller tanks. In large tanks they should do fine in larger groups or with other gobies. Flaming Prawn Gobies should also not be kept with larger overly aggressive fish, since they are not good at defending themselves. Flaming Prawn Gobies do best with kept in tanks with lots of live rock and sand for them to go through during the day between feedings to supplement their diet with small inverts.

Flaming Prawn Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Flaming Prawn Goby healthy and happy. Just make sure that the food is small enough to fit into your Flaming Prawn Gobies mouth.
