PhycoPure Copepod Blend is essential for growing and maintaining Copepod populations from ReefPods live cultures. Copepods are herbivorous and need to be fed microalgae to survive and reproduce. Pod populations can be fed in culture or in tanks with PhycoPure Copepod Blend.

PhycoPure is composed of different species of microalgae spanning a range of particle sizes (something for everyone). In addition, these species are well recognized for their nutritional properties. All come from temperature acclimated aquaculture strains, pathogen free and cleansed of excess nutrients. PhycoPure is cultured in purified natural Atlantic Ocean water and should be refrigerated. PhycoPure has no preservatives, is not subjected to harsh processing steps and is batch processed to ensure quality.

PhycoPure Copepod Blend contains: T- Isochrysus galbana, and Chaetoceros gracilis. Add 1 cap full per 10 gallons directly to the reef tank or refugium. In a separate jar or tank where copepods are being cultured, feed 2-6 tsp (10-30ml) per gallon per day. Copepods will consume these microalgae quickly and will turn the water clear. Over or under feeding can affect the growth of the copepods so strive to maintain a very light tint to the water by feeding smaller doses more often. Keep refrigerated.
