Snowflake Eels are among the few moray eels suitable for reef tanks. These eels feature striking white bodies adorned with thick black stripes and numerous yellow spots. In captivity, **Snowflake Eels** can grow beyond 28 inches, necessitating a minimum tank size of 55 gallons. While young, they are generally peaceful, but as they mature, they may prey on smaller fish and invertebrates. Due to their poor eyesight, they might mistake your hand for food, leading to a painful bite despite their rounded teeth.

Though somewhat reef-safe, **Snowflake Eels** can disrupt coral and rock structures and may consume smaller fish and invertebrates. Exercise caution when adding them to a fully stocked reef tank.
