Pomachromis richardsoni is usually found in schools and often in areas exposed to the sea, for example near the coast.
This perch is common in its habitat, such as coral and rocky reef areas exposed to the sea current.
Adult reef fish form loose groups near the bottom.
Brief description: Silver coloured, sometimes with yellow head and back. Tail lobe black, with black marking of the upper lobe starting at the base of the tail, dark edges on dorsal and anal fins and a white or yellow patch on the rear base of the dorsal fin.
