Multiple different configurations allow the Duo 9K to adapt to many different scenarios. If you want to feed a manifold and your aquarium from a single pump, the Dual output configuration is perfect. Your aquarium will always get the same flow, even if you change the flow rate through the equipment connected to the manifold. If you just need a lot of flow, attach the Duo to Single output adapter for increased flow through a single pipe. The final configuration works great if you are tight on space, you can actually remove one of the volutes, and by attaching the block off plate, you effectively have a compact single output pump.
