The Boxer Crab (Lybia tessalata), also known as the PomPom Crab, is named for the tiny anemones it carries in its claws.

It uses the anemones as feeding tools, eating particles that stick to them.

The crab will also use its anemones as weapons to fend off potential predators.

Though elusive, this crab is a terrific addition to a reef aquarium.

Its behavior and its beautiful lavender, purple, and white coloration make it an excellent addition to reef aquariums.
