This wonderful fish has a red checkerboard pattern on its white body.
The nose is very long and apparently used to locate its prey from reef crevices.
This is one of the least aggressive a hawkfish, and easily the most distinctive.

Provide with structures to perch on (it really likes gorgonians and black corals) and nooks and crannies to hide in.
Generally very easy to care for.
Recommended Tank size: Requires a 20 gallon or larger aquarium
Food and diet:Carnivorous, feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates and zooplankton.
Reef Compatability: Excellent, but may eat very small shrimps.
Level of Care: Very Easy
