The Great Barracuda, Sphyraena barracuda,

 often stereotyped as a fearsome open ocean predator and rarely seen as a potential aquarium fish. Though, yes, these fish do reach up to 76 inches, just over six feet, and have rows of serrated teeth, they CAN be kept, with success, in home aquariums.

Obviously the Great Barracuda needs plenty of water - tanks should be no less than 1000 gallons.

Further, given the Great Barracuda's size, it will need plenty of food, and often. It is carnivorous.

The Great Barracuda will get very big so it cannot be stressed enough, for the health of the fish, to have a tank large enough. The Great Barracuda is no doubt a unique, interesting, and different choice for a home aquarium, and though not a smart choice for all hobbyists, some may find the swift growth and voracious appetite captivating.
