False Personifer Angelfish (Chaetodontoplus meredithi)  is commonly referred to as the Bluemask Angelfish, which has an unusual almost blistered appearance to its body.  The Personifer Angel has a blue-green and speckled with yellow face that makes it a captivating addition to a fish only tank.  The Personifer Angel will grow to 14 inches, and should be provided with a 90 gallons minimum,  with plenty of live rocks and caves to take refuge when stressed.  The Personifer Angel is prone to nip over the corals and clam mantles, sessile invertebrates and is not considered a good reef dweller. 

This is one of the few species of angelfish where the males differ morphologically from the females. In this case, the males Personifer Angel fishes have a slightly longer body than females. Although it is a peaceful angel, the Personifer Angel can become belligerent towards newly introduced fishes, especially if they are closely related. The Personifer Angel is mainly omnivore, and primarily feeds on sessile invertebrates, sponges and tunicates and algae.

The Personifer Angel requires plenty of live rocks in the tank that can encourages the growth of algae on which it can feed in between its meals.   The Personifer Angel thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78° F and pH of 8.1-8.4
