Food and diet: Accepts a wide variety of prepared foods; live brine shrimp, plankton, mysis shrimp, green algae.
Damselfishes and Chromis are generally thought of as being the best first fishes for a new saltwater hobbyist. They are colorful, active, feed readily, and are very hardy. In fact they are so hardy, that they are often used to "break in" a new tank, creating and then surviving the first waves of toxic ammonia.
