The Fairy Flame Wrasse will add a dramatic splash of color to any reef aquarium.

Provide it with plenty of live rock and live sand.

It is a very peaceful wrasse and can be housed with a wide variety of reef fish, including other small wrasse.

A great reef fish, it is often seen cruising all over the tank looking for food.

Totally harmless to corals, clams, and ornamental invertebrates, It will help to control pyramidellid snails, and flat worms which are harmful to clams.

Do not keep it with aggressive predators, or larger aggressive wrasses.

Temperament:

Easy going, mellow fish. Gets along with all other tank inhabitants.

Recommended Tank Size:

A sand bed and Live Rock should be provided for all Wrasses.

They will bury themselves in the sand to sleep or hide.

Live Rock provides numerous small life forms that the Wrasses consider a tasty treat as well as another place to hide when they feel threatened.

A minimum 90 gallon tank should be provided.

Food and Diet:

Feed a varied diet of frozen prepared foods, minced fresh shrimp, and a good flake food.

Try to feed at least twice a day.

Reef Compatability: Excellent Reef fish.

Care Level: Moderate
