The Cirrhilabrus Rubromarginalis or Red Margin Fairy is a beautiful wrasse that is endemic to the waters of southern Japan and Indonesia. Usually seen in pairs, it is known to exhibit a very eye-catching coloration with red margins on both its tail and dorsal fin. A male Red Margin Fairy is known to exhibit better color intensity as compared to a female or juvenile.However, the male wrasses tend to look duller as compared to their female counterparts during courtship.

The Red Margin Fairy Wrasse is a very peaceful, active fish that will bring both color and activity to a fish-only or reef aquarium of 90 gallons or larger. They will not bother any corals or invertebrates making them a perfect fish for the reef aquarium. These wrasse like to jump, so a tight fitting canopy is recommended.

The Red Margin Fairy Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.
