Grey Smooth Hound Shark

A large, fairly slender shark with a short head and snout, broad internarial, large close-set eyes, and an upper labial that furrows slightly longer than their lowers. The shark has unfringed dorsal fins, and a semifalcate ventral caudal lobe.
The shark is usually grey to grey-brown. Occasionally has dark spots. They prefer swimming near the bottom, but sometimes can be found in mid-water.
Grey Smooth Hounds feed off crabs, squid, shrimp, clams. It is recommended to use cleaned squid for feeding.

Salinity: 1.020 to 1.023
Size tank/pond: 300 gallons+ or large pond
Smooth Hound Shark It is found on the continental shelves of the eastern Pacific, in California from the surface to a depth of 200 m.
