• best kept in a tank of at least 150 gallons with plenty of live rock
• it is important to have a very good protein skimmer to keep water clean
• they have a propensity to eat almost anything in the tank including small fish, inverts, and sometimes even aquarium equipment, so be cautious when picking tank mates 
• you should never use a net to move the Map Puffer as they may expand and injure themselves - use a container instead
• they will eat a varied carnivorous diet
• the Map Puffer, like other puffers, should never be exposed to open air

Feeding and Diet: Map Puffers, being predators in the wild, accept shellfish, crustaceans and hard shelled foods such as snails as its primary diet. A large variety of all kinds of live and frozen meaty foods are best. It is best to feed small amounts several times a day. Some of the suggested frozen foods include prawn, crabs/crabs legs, bloodworms, blackworms, silversides, and mussels. Occasionally, they graze on algae as well.
