The Aqualight LED is a fusion of innovative engineering and focus on a singular goal: Ensuring superior product performance to sustain a thriving saltwater reef. Designed and perfected for more than two years, Aqualight LED offers precision operation in an easy to use yet sophisticated style.
Aqualight LED contains a balanced mix of high-power white, blue, and amber LEDs coupled with state-of-the-art optics including custom lenses and metallic reflectors. As a result, the maximum amount of light energy in the form of PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) is directed into the aquarium where it can be used by corals for growth.
A built in controller means you can select from three pre-programmed color settings – 10,000K, 14,000K, and 20,000K – plus moonlight and night. In addition, the intensity of each color setting can be adjusted from 10% to 100% allowing for a wide range of lighting options. Use the controller to quickly program the Aqualight LED including 24 hour timer to create a lighting cycle with sunrise, mid-day, sunset, and moonlight.
LEDs can be controlled electronically, dimmed, or turned on/off individually. This gives the end user a range of settings and light options not available with traditional lighting systems.
By combining different colored LEDs in a single array, many different color options can be created including optimal lighting for coral growth and PAR generation. Aqualight LED uses a mix of white, blue, and amber LEDs. White and blue LEDs provide a cool appearance and strong PAR while amber LEDs offer balance and warmth for full spectrum light.
LEDs use energy efficiently by converting more of the energy used into light. Traditional lighting systems such as metal halide generate proportionately more heat per energy consumed.
LOW HEAT RADIATION:
LEDs generate heat but don’t project heat outward towards the aquarium. Instead, heat is conducted through the LED chip and into the heat sink where it is dissipated from the light fixture.
