Acclimation Kit for acclimating fish, corals and inverts, which is the best way to introduce new specimens to your saltwater systems.
It is widely regarded in the aquarium industry that drip acclimation is the best way to acclimate new aquatic specimens to a new environment. In this way, the animals are introduced to changes in the environments (specific gravity, ph, etc.) gradually. This simple device does just that. Simply stick the u tube with one end of the tubing into your target aquarium, begin the siphon by drawing water from the other end with the control valve (not too much, now!), adjust the flow to about 2 drops per second and put the valve end above the container with your new animal, allowing the water from your tank to drip into the water that your new animal came in. The flow may be adjusted as is appropriate for the situation. When the water volume in the receiving receptacle has doubled, remove the specimens and place in tank, make sure not to put any of the water in the container into your tank.
